Johann Hari is an award-winning Swiss-British journalist and author. In his recent book Stolen focus, Johann Hari makes the case that we are all suffering from a societal  attention focus.

He digs deeply into the reasons why so many of us are losing the ability to concentrate. Focus long enough to read a real book, or focus on a single task at work. Long enough to achieve anything significant.

He points out social media, or rather the powerful commercial mechanisms behind them, as a main cause. But not by any means the only one.

Did you know that we, on average, sleep a full hour less at night than we did in the 1940? Or that even our choice of bread at breakfast affects our ability to fall asleep at night?

Personally I found the scientifically based advice to stay away from any digital screens for two hours before bedtime more difficult to swallow. My ever-present, all-purpose, night-and-day iPad … oh no!

Scattering your limited marketing resources on too many small activities may also fuel a stressful, unfocused, and potentially sleep-depriving life. Focusing on ONE strategy to sell more cars and services, lower your marketing and selling costs AND enhance your dealer brand should help.

Time to get a better grip on your sales and marketing activities? All your cars in stock; all digital platforms and channels. Let Phyron make your workdays easier and more focused on better results; you may even sleep a bit better at night.
